🎯 How Engagement Tracking Works

The webMOBI Zoom App automatically monitors participant activity during meetings and calculates an engagement score (0-100) based on various metrics.

Privacy Note: All tracking happens in real-time during the meeting only. No audio or video content is recorded or stored. Only engagement metrics are saved.

📊 Engagement Metrics

Speaking Duration

Time spent with microphone active and speaking

Weight: 30% of total engagement score
What's tracked: Total seconds of audio activity

Chat Messages

Number of messages sent in meeting chat

Weight: 25% of total engagement score
What's tracked: Count of chat messages (public and private to host)

Reactions & Emoji

Use of reactions (👍, ❤️, 😂, etc.)

Weight: 15% of total engagement score
What's tracked: Total number of reactions used

Hand Raises

Number of times participant raised hand

Weight: 10% of total engagement score
What's tracked: Count of hand raise events

Video Presence

Time spent with video camera on

Weight: 10% of total engagement score
What's tracked: Percentage of meeting time with video enabled

Attendance Duration

Total time present in the meeting

Weight: 10% of total engagement score
What's tracked: Minutes from join to leave time

🧮 How Scores are Calculated

Total Engagement Score88 / 100
Note: Scores are normalized based on meeting duration and participant count to ensure fairness across different meeting types.

🏆 Participant Ranking

Participants are ranked from 1st to last based on their engagement scores:

  • • Rankings update in real-time as engagement occurs
  • • Ties are broken by join time (earlier joiners rank higher)
  • • Rankings can be displayed on leaderboards during meetings
  • • Top performers can be highlighted and recognized

🔒 Privacy & Data Handling

What We Track

Only quantitative engagement metrics (counts, durations, timestamps)

What We DON'T Track

Audio content, video content, chat message content, or any personally identifiable information beyond name and email

Data Retention

Engagement data is retained for 90 days for analytics purposes, then automatically deleted

Compliance

GDPR and CCPA compliant. Participants can request data deletion at any time
