Custom Domains

Use your own domain for certificate and badge verification pages

Overview

Custom domains allow you to serve your certificates and badges from your own domain (e.g., certificates.yourcompany.com) instead of the default webMOBI domain. This provides a more professional and branded experience for your recipients.

Branded verification URLs
Automatic SSL certificates
CDN-powered delivery

Requirements

  • 1Professional or Enterprise subscription plan
  • 2Access to your domain's DNS settings
  • 3A subdomain you want to use (e.g., certificates, badges, creds)

Setup Instructions

  1. Go to Settings → Custom Domains
  2. Click "Add Custom Domain"
  3. Enter your subdomain (e.g., certificates.yourcompany.com)

SSL Certificate Provisioning

Once verified, we automatically provision an SSL certificate for your domain using Cloudflare. This typically takes 5-15 minutes. Your domain status will show as "Active" when complete.

SSL Certificate Status

All custom domains receive free SSL certificates managed by Cloudflare. Certificate status can be:

ActiveSSL certificate is valid and working
PendingCertificate is being provisioned
ErrorCertificate provisioning failed - check DNS settings

Cloudflare Integration

Our custom domains are powered by Cloudflare, providing:

  • Global CDN - Fast loading from anywhere in the world
  • DDoS Protection - Enterprise-grade security
  • Automatic SSL - Free managed certificates
  • 99.99% Uptime - Reliable certificate verification

Troubleshooting

Domain verification failed

Ensure the CNAME record is correctly configured and DNS has propagated. Use a tool like dig or online DNS checkers to verify.

SSL certificate not provisioning

Check that the TXT record for ACME challenge is correctly set. Remove any conflicting A records for the same subdomain.

Certificate shows as expired

Certificates auto-renew. If showing expired, contact support - there may be a DNS configuration issue.

Mixed content warnings

Ensure your domain is only accessed via HTTPS. We automatically redirect HTTP to HTTPS.
